Natural Skin Renewal
Collagen Induction Therapy uses tiny needles or micro-needles with a Roller or CIT Pen, engaging the body’s natural response that induces regeneration, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. Collagen Induction Therapy is designed to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, increase collagen formation, reduce pore size, boost skin texture and diminish scars.
Collagen Induction Therapy is a non-invasive procedure for:
- The Reduction of Wrinkles
- Thin Skin Density
- Loss of Adhesion and Resiliency
- Photo Ageing
- Scars or Stretch Marks
- Hair Restoration
Before treatment, you will need a consultation to assess your skin and review your goals and expectations and receive extensive information about the treatment with a personalised treatment plan for you.

Collagen Induction Therapy treatments create minute fractional channels into the skin’s surface with very fine stainless steel needles triggering organic healing that encourages your skin to heal, renew and rebuild.
The skin progressively strengthens and normalises promoting intensive regeneration. During treatment, a slight sting and vibrating effect is all you feel as the pen glides over the skin. Unlike other methods of skin needling, pen technology is comfortable with procedural time complete in around 15 minutes.
The ergonomic pen can treat all contours and hard-to-reach areas on the face including the under-eyes and upper lip.
A course of Collagen Induction Therapy treatments is recommended to deliver and sustain long-lasting skin correction and results. A professional skin consultation will determine the best course of action and the number of treatments required.
As a Guide:
- Ageing and Wrinkles – 3 to 4 treatments
- Scar Reduction – 6 to 8 treatments
- Stretch Marks – 8 treatments
Collagen Induction Therapy triggers the skin’s natural healing mechanisms, visible improvement will appear around 2-4 weeks post-procedure. The repair cascade may continue for up to 24 months after just one treatment. Multiple Collagen Induction Therapy sessions provide continuous stimulation to enhance results and longevity further.
- Avoid sun exposure including tanning beds or self-tanner.
- Exfoliate skin (unless advised not to by your practitioner)
- Increase intake of water, fresh fruit and vegetables.
For more intensive Collagen Induction Therapy procedures, an anaesthetic cream may be applied 30 minutes before treatment reducing any sensitivity or discomfort; all you feel is a mild vibrating sensation with light pressure.
After the Collagen Induction Therapy treatment, the skin will feel warm and slightly tight, similarly to that of a light sunburn. This feeling will progressively reduce over two days.
Collagen Induction Therapy is suitable for all skin types, unlike some laser or chemical peels procedures. If you have any of the following concerns, you may be a suitable candidate for Collagen Induction Therapy:
- Premature ageing
- Skin Laxity
- Lines and wrinkles
- Scarring from acne, chicken pox, injuries or surgery
Collagen Induction Therapy technology allows for easy facial needling with minimal side effects and downtime.
Collagen Induction Therapy treatment ensures the skin’s integrity is never compromised, with any scabbing, bruising or burn risk.
The appearance of petechial spots is common around areas of thinner skin quality especially around the crow’s feet and under-eyes. These are perfectly normal and usually disappear within 3-4 days.
The skin will feel and look slightly red for up to 3 days post-treatment with CIT Pen accompanied by a feeling of tightness and the appearance of slight flaking.
Multiple sessions are suggested depending on the condition of the skin as well as the size of the treatment area.
Collagen Induction Therapy treatments are performed at 6 – 8 weekly intervals to deliver the most effective results.
